1903 - born in India
1904 - his mother moved back to England
1911 - George went to St Cyprian's School in Eastbourne
1917 - he won a scholarship
1921 - he joined the British police in Burma
1927 - resigned 
1928 - moved to Paris
1932-1933 - worked as a teacher
1934 - got a part time job
1933 - first book was published 
1934 - first novel Burmese Days was published
1935 - Second novel published(A Clergyman's Daughter)
1936 - Aspidistra Flying published
1936 - married with Eileen
1936 - poverty in northern England
1937 - The Road to Wigan Pier was published
1936 - left to Spain (fight in the Spanish Civil War)
1938 - A Homage to Catalonia was published
1938 - suffered from tuberculosis
1938 - went to Morocco
1939 - Coming Up For Air was published
1941 -  started working for the BBC
1943 - he became a literary editor 
1945 - 'Animal Farm' was published
